MLP. 012 - Acid Hippogriff (top)

The design for this one was commissioned by Princess Twilight herself, who felt she owed a “diplomatic smooth-over” to the Hippogriff Queen (what about, Mega Pony chose not to pry). Versatility was the focus while building Acid Hippogriff (“Aciff” for short). Her two liquid-projection wings would make for decent air travel, her four slender legs could keep a moderate pace on land, and her hind legs could combine to form a liquid-projection fishtail for optimal underwater speed. Coupled with encyclopedic chemical knowledge, corrosion-proof armor, and a retractable nozzle that could release a resilient “Acid Barrier”, she’d have functional versatility equal to that of her body. Aciff’s main purpose would be to study ocean acidification near Mount Aris, relay the information to Twilight, and hopefully derive a chemical treatment. Dr. Discord’s notes implied a “mad chemist” stereotype: pedantic, neat-freak, blunt and straight to the point.

MLP. 014 - Torch Kirin (bottom)

Truth be told, Mega Pony wasn’t quite finished with his eighth and final creation. The initial concept for Torch Kirin was to balance her base species’ nature magic and “temper flames”, utilizing the former for agriculture, while redirecting the latter to a luminous torch atop her head. Mega Pony had finished the bodily frame in just two weeks, mounting a fire extinguisher hose to the tail, and adding a function for flinging the torch contents straight upwards like a signal flare, or as Applejack put it, an “Autumn Blazer”. Unfortunately, those two weeks came right before The Drain, so the missing kirin hull lacked any kirin magic or CPU customization. And everyone dreaded the possibility it wouldn’t stay that way…

That’s all eight of them. In case anyone’s wondering, they’re numbered according to each species’ debut on the show (I assume “Best Gift Ever” comes before “Sounds of Silence”).
