“Starshade…I really need someone to talk to…” Larkspur said, wings drooped, vying desperately for any scrap of attention she used to give him.
 
“Sorry…I don’t talk to freaks like you.”

Starshade was Larkspur’s first and only girlfriend. At a time he was particularly uncertain and vulnerable, she took control of his life and seemed to make things clear. He fell head over heels for her badassery, and her ability to keep the mean kids away, and mostly because he was desperate for connection. Starshade picked an easy target. She quickly became his worst nightmare as her violence and abusive behavior toward others turned against him. Even after a bitter and almost violent break-up, he had no idea how she would relish in making him miserable from that day on. Luckily, peace came when her parents moved away from Ponyville. Aaaand then his worst fear came true when she showed right back up in his life at Twilight’s School. Although this time, something about her gave him such an eerie sense that he hadn’t even seen the worse yet.
