Oh, look at that, another MLP OC, just because I can. What’s that? MLP is dead just because FiM ended? Oh you silly fool, when did such a detail ever stop a good fandom? You must be new around here.

Actually, this here is a good old recycling. I do tend to take old OC’s from old fandoms and see if I can re-purpose them if I like them enough. I did easily turn good old Zapp and Tika into ponies, even if Tika took a redesign later on. But the third member of my holy trinity of main IZ OC’s, Green, was a challenge I never really stuck through with. I was unsure how to fit her original purpose in the universe of FiM. Even more so with her creator Gaie, the scientist determined to create the perfect being through science.

So after all those years, I finally got enough ideas to work around something fitting these characters but as magical ponies.

Soul Catcher is a Canterlot bred earth pony, who studies magic and science with great gusto. With a lack of horn, he went the route of alchemist for the earth pony side of magic. But mostly just likes to make thesises on crazy idea. He doesn’t really believe the many conspiracy theories he likes to read up on, but he likes to entertain the idea of “But what if..?”
Which lead to plenty of papers that others like to laugh at and mock if they don’t bother to read fully into the points he’s making. Soul Catcher usually just shrugs that off, he simply likes to consider the vast amount of possibilities the universe hold without really taking it much serious himself.

At least until he rediscovers his special talent.
He doesn’t remember much of the events that gave him his cutiemark, he was too young. And never really felt bothered by it, as long he can do whatever he enjoys doing despite that.
He was entertaining a silly theory he read about, one claiming Celestia and Luna are not really ponies, but constructs, sophisticated golems, created by an ancient civilization with knowledge of scientific magic nopony can hope to understand today. What if, ya know?
Obviously it is not possible to create sentient life, least of all a real mind in something as simple as a golem, how silly. Still, he decided he at least needed a prop to really get into this new study and… he’s not exactly sure what happened, but now he got a fully sentient animated soul jar running around calling him dad. Oh dear, he is not sure about what to do with this, did he somehow trap a soul into a puppet made of clay? Would this mark him as a necromancer or warlock? And how about the blasphemy of creating this thing in the image of an alicorn? Oh dear oh dear… best keep this on the downlow until he figured out what even happened..

I had fun making this interpretation of an old OC and will probably do it again, and no one can stop me!! :evillaugh:
Anyways, enjoy!
