So anyway first I was thinking to draw Twilight with Pinkie Pie’s cutie mark, but when my sister pristine-flora (Dead link) said she would draw Fluttershy with Twilight’s Cutie Mark for the contest. I decided to draw the exact opposite.

Then I thought, I also want this to be a crossover. I looked back at Fluttershy’s ability to use the stare and her talent in getting along with ALL types of creatures. Suddenly Meepits entered my thoughts. Now we have this.

The backstory for this is that Fluttershy learned the stare from these Ghost Meepits which she befriended while she was still young.

When Twilight swapped marks with Fluttershy, She was very eager to meet all of her animal friends, and learn more about them on a personal level. She got what she wanted. She met them all, even the ones who would only show themselves to Fluttershy.
