Even a talented pony like Sonata can’t escape the ‘starving artist’ stereotype.
 
Fortunately, working a barista in her dad’s Doughnut shop is a job she actually enjoys, not just becuase she’s in her element, having grown up in around cakes and coffee. No, there’s a ton of perks to working in a family business, like flexible hours, secure pay, and pretty easy management to name a few.
 
Of course, it does come with downsides like when her dad shooting death glares from the window behind her at the cute boy attempting to flirt and failing. And we’re not even going to get into the extremely awkward ‘I wanna talk to your manager’ conversations.
 
As a barista by day and an artist by night, Sonata considers her self lucky to get such a sweet setup. Not to mention all the free cups of a coffee she gets to motivate her will to live.

I’ve wanted to explore this idea for so long, and since I utterly fail when it comes to drawing clothing on ponies, I took this opportunity to show you Sonata in her barista outfit. And considering I don’t draw Anthro that often, I’m really pleased with how this one came out. :3
 
Maybe I’ll draw more barista Sonata in the future…
