The next morning, after being woken by Applejack yet again, Sunset gets her tasks done without much complaint, which surprises Applejack. The rest of the girls get up about an hour later, though, as they have some early-morning concerts they want to attend. This leaves only Applejack and Sunset left at the campsite for breakfast, so Sunset takes this as her chance to try out her plan. After making two batches of pancakes for her and her friend, Sunset sprinkles a moderate amount of the Sleeping Powder onto Applejack’s breakfast. After bringing them over to where Applejack is sitting and sitting down next to her, the young farmer questions the strange powder on her meal, to which Sunset claims that it is a fancy spice that Rarity said they should try. Thankfully, Applejack accepts this response and starts to eat. A little time passes and as the girls talk, Sunset starts to notice that the powder is taking effect, as Applejack’s eyes are starting to droop and she is starting to yawn mid-sentence. Finally, about ten minutes later and after taking one last swallow of pancake, Applejack lets out a small moan, her eyes blink shut, and her head falls back a bit as she starts to snore. Knowing that it must be the powder, Sunset becomes rather surprised, but then remember what the vendor said about not being able to wake the victim up until the powder wears off and decides to test how deep her friend is asleep.
Getting back up, Sunset takes Applejack’s plate and fork and places it on a nearby picnic table. Walking back over to her unfortunate victim, Sunset takes a hold of Applejack’s boots and easily pulls them off, revealing the blonde-haired girl’s bare feet underneath. Applejack, however, does not react to this and keeps on sleeping. Sunset then carries on with her tests and removes Applejack’s jacket, hat, and sunglasses. Again, Applejack doesn’t stir. Realizing that the vendor was telling the truth (meaning her friend really will sleep all day), Sunset picks up the sleeping farmer in her arms, carries her back to the RV, and lays her down in her bunk, covering her in a spare blanket so she won’t get cold. Wishing her slumbering friend sweet dreams, Sunset goes back out to gather up Applejack’s discarded clothing, wondering how she will explain her actions to the other girls and Applejack herself once she wakes up tomorrow…..
