Admittedly not my best work. >_<
But I learned a very important lesson from this one and the bug-gal (another commission which was done at roughly the same time):
Maintain consistent brush-usage across the whole piece. If you feel the urge to bounce between one brush and another, make sure you do it across the whole piece, not just on one porsion. Case in point, I almost exclusively used one type of brush for the character, and a completely different one for the background_
