He trotted back over into the room from the kitchen, a small grin on his muzzle. “Really, don’t worry about it, I’m fine. Really more curious as to why you’ve got so many of Squish’s potioned milk bottles in your fridge, honestly.” A weak chuckle left her lips as she rested her mug on her belly, watching the pegasus trot around and set himself down on the floor in a seated position. So, he knows about those, too… well then. Well, perhaps he doesn’t know everything… half-truths are still, well, half-true.
“Oh, those, yes, um, Vinyl… has a slight habit of buying them, without checking what they are. One day it’s pooltoys, another it’s inflatable gryphons, and some days, well…” She squished her free hand into her belly, drawing a parp from her drone pipes. “…you get the idea. I’d like to think I’ve gotten used to it, but I’ll admit it can get quite annoying when I’m trying to practice.”
The pegasus let off a light chuckle, leaning back for a moment, resting himself. “Ah, I could imagine. Did seem like you were still making the most of it from what I heard, though, even with how much bigger you look compared to your cello. If it’s any consolation, even without hooves you still manage to make some quite wonderful music~” A smile crept upon the cellist’s muzzle as she took another sip from her mug, feeling herself shrinking back down to a more appropriate scale with each one. So quick to get like this, but so slow to change back… a grin found itself on the muzzle of the pegasus as well, as he leaned forwards, though this one seemed a touch more… knowing. “Though, I do have to ask, if Vinyl’s the one who bought the milk, why did Squish say you specifically asked for and some Bagpipe Dragonifying milk from her?”
The cellist stumbled, almost spitting out her drink, eyes gone wide as she looked down at the golden pegasus sat before her. She swallowed the sip, a weak chuckle escaping her. “E-eheheh, ahm, w-well, you see, I… oh, forget it. Yes, this… wasn’t an accident. The first time was, though! But, well, I… sort of had an idea, after trying to practice after that. I mean, two instruments being played by one pony at once, it’s an interesting concept, isn’t it?” She shuffled on the couch, sinking into the cushions slightly. “Only… it hasn’t been working out quite as well as I hoped it would. I know I can do it, I just… can’t, I suppose. Haven’t a clue where I’d go to get help beyond just continuing to practice as I was, I’m certainly not about to tell Vinyl I’m doing it on purpose.”
The pegasus paused for a moment, tapping a hoof against his chin as he thought. Bagpipe dragon plays the cello… well, from what he heard, she could use the help, at least learning how to play herself while like that. She’s definitely not exactly about to be open about it yet either, but he could hear her parping from his test range - that’s a pretty fair distance for sound to travel. No, she needed somewhere safe to practice, learn her instruments… and the pegasus knew just the spot. His gaze turned to meet that of the cellist, a smile on his muzzle.
“Don’t worry, I think I know a guy who can help you out…”
