Description: Airships in Equestria had been a luxury amenity popular in Canterlot and Manehatten. Too slow to be economic freighters in comparison to trains, they were highly valued for casual cruises to and from the capital by those with the means. On the outset of war it was discussed what tactical value they might have in war, and it was concluded they would make valuable gun platforms for land or sea engagements. Early combat airships were lightly armored and given the most basic of artillery. Crewed by pegasi and being largely for pegasi they can also serve as support platforms for aerial pegasi wings on the field.
