Description

Art is like martial arts. You can be shown the ways, but then you must find your own way. Learn the forms, but be formless. Learn the roads, then make your own path.

Another style presentation. One of the reasons I do these is to gain better appreciation for different forms, like I did with the ears (>>1629934). But also I realized this was possibly a good demonstration how you can’t really claim poor anatomy as “style”. Proper follow-through on anatomy will provide some kind of structure that can be molded and followed. I kept the top half of the head the same, and altered the necks to be thinner than most because that’s what I personally prefer, but you can see the functionality transition from neck to top of head.

I really like to see artists, especially those who aren’t animating or working with vectors, try and move away from the show-style and branch out in trying to express the unique aspects of what they want to show.

Next one probably be eyes or horns.
