(He looks so much like he’d be a Sunburst x Flash Sentry child, omg-)
 
 
So this Unicorn is another Crystal Pony born and raised right in the Crystal Empire, and is part of the guard! Not exactly the Royal Guard…. he patrols the streets. Kinda like a police officer.
 
He’s trained in the art of swordsmanship, and years of intensive training have earned him a few scars. He grew up wanting to be part of the guard in his home, and his father was the one to teach him the ways of the cold, unforgiving blade. His mother certainly was hesitant about the whole thing, and had no difficulty expressing her opinions about his dangerous talent when she would have to tend to his wounds.
 
Despite his shield Cutie Mark (which shows his talent for defending), Sapphire actually can’t conjure up a shield of any sort with his magics. He has trouble focusing on using his swords with another object, as he would have to focus his magic on more than one thing if he were to create a sheild with his magic, or levitate one that is already made. He’s able to wield a sword much better, since it is thin and agile, and he can block pretty well with it already.
 
Sapphire’s personality is quite the opposite of that of the weapon he wields. Sapphire is bright and perky, and very friendly with the residents of the Crystal Empire. The unicorn will have no objections to being stopped to chat with somepony, give directions, or even help an elderly mare or stallion cross the street. His fellow guards though, find him a bit too perky, and will often scold him for making chit-chat on the job.
 
Of course, Sapphire can be serious about his job as well. He will easily toughen up in the face of a threat, and did what he could at the Crystal Empire was under attack by King Sombra. He led ponies to safety, and attempted to destroy some of the dark crystals sprouting from the ground. One suddenly jutted up, and that’s where he got the scar on his cheek.
 
One of his friends is the Crystal Griffon, Vincent Padder, and the two can often be seen going out for drinks or just hanging out together when they don’t have to work.
