Emerald asks if he knows anything about Deer religion.
“Can’t say it’s my area of expertise, I probably don’t know more than any other zebra…” Bunsen says rubbing his chin, “I know it’s monotheistic, and that the god is also known as a white deer, but passed that I’m afraid I don’t have much of a clue.”
Emerald asks if he has any unique beginner’s potions that he could learn as a souvenir to his visit to the temple. He is a budding alchemist after all.
“Hmm… Not any that an amateur could make unfortunately. If you want potions like that there are plenty of books on them. Anything I could teach you would be way above your league.” Bunsen says with a frown
Emerald asks if he can hear more about Marjani now, as he is interested in maybe becoming a follower. He is curious about her.
“Well, I could certainly talk your ear off about the subject.” Bunsen says with a laugh, “But you are going to have to be more particular about what you mean. What does she look like? Well, there is an artist rendition of her right there.”
Bunsen points to a portrait of a young zebra wearing a robe with odd, pointed ends on it. She is also carrying one of those staves in one hoof, and a potion in the other. She has a pretty determined look on her face.
“The picture is undoubtedly wrong seeing as we don’t have very good contemporary accounts of Marjani’s looks.” Bunsen then laughs again and says, “Ekwueme is certainly male from descriptions made about him, and Hiwot certainly female as she canonically bore children, but it isn’t clear what Marjani was. Many people says female because of various descriptions of her beauty, but it isn’t 100% certain. But anyway, what questions did you have in particular about Marjani?”
