Fall of Empire
 
Eleventh and penultimate in the series of fics to be posted this September. When Sweetie Belle asked the Doctor to take her to the Crystal Empire, she didn’t mean during the reign of Sombra! The wicked king, however, is not all he seems– indeed, the travelers suspect he isn’t in control of himself, let alone the Empire. In a winding maze of emotionally charged crystals, their only hope is to find the Crystal Heart. But as rage and fear overtake the besieged empire, it may be too late to save anypony at all.
