Star Twist woke up to the sound of her mom, Tempest saying her name loudly.
 
“Star! Star! Wake up, please!” Her mother sounded like she was in a rush.
 
“E-eh m-mom? I wanna sleep” Star said quietly.
 
Tempest let out an annoyed grunt. “Star Twist! You still have more princess duties today! Did nobody tell you that?”
 
Star Twist forced her eyes open. “M-more paperwork?!” she said, puzzled.
 
“No, no. You aren’t doing any more paperwork. You’re helping decorate the area where the Summer Sun Celebration will take place!”
 
“When is it t-taking pla~~” Star Twist started falling asleep again.
 
“Star Twist!” Tempest yelped.
 
“AH!” Star Twist shot up. “I-i’m awake now!”
 
“The Summer Sun Celebration is taking place tomorrow! Celestia needs more ponies helping put everything in where it needs to be!”
 
Star Twist’s eyes widened. “TOMORROW?!”
 
Tempest’s ear twitched. “Yes! Brush your mane and tail, brush your teeth, and head out! You don’t wanna be late!”
 
Star bolted out of her room and got ready. She said her goodbyes and went out.
 
When she got there, the place looked barely decorated. There was supposed to be bows and flowers and ribbons and all that all around the place, but all Star Twist could see was a ribbon already placed and a pony putting up another one. Star Twist didn’t realize she was walking into somepony before it was too late.
 
Star swung her head up in surprise. “O-oh! I’m so so so sorry!”
 
“No, it’s fine! At least I’m not carrying my flowers around, they would be all over the place!” The blue haired earth pony paused. “Hey… Don’t I know you from somewhere?”
 
“Well… You might recognize me because I’m the daughter of Twilight Sparkle” Star Twist rubbed her hoof.
 
“OH! YEAH! That’s you?” the mare looked at the ground. “I-i forgot your name… What is it again? Shine Beam?”
 
“…Star Twist”
 
“Ah! That’s right! Star Twist! Princess Star Twist! I’m Daisy Blue, but you can just call me Daisy!” Daisy Blue grinned.
 
“What are you doing here?”
 
“I’m in charge of the flowers! You?” Daisy Blue put a hoof on her chest.
 
Star raised a brow. “I think I’m in charge of… Choosing where things go?”
 
Daisy gasped. “GREAT! I couldn’t decide where to put my flowers! Follow me, I’ll show you all of them!”
 
Star Twist followed Daisy Blue over to a big wagon with what almost looked to be a billion different types of flowers in it.
 
“Y-you grew all of these yourself?”
 
“Yup! With the help of my mom, of course. She’s great with… Basically everything”
 
“Who’s your mom?” Star Twist asked.
 
“Fluttershy, your mom’s friend!” Daisy Blue smiled. “Discord is my father”
 
“Huh, cool”
 
Star Twist was kind of getting to know this pony. Even though they’d just bumped into each other a few minutes ago, she felt like the both of them could possibly become friends. She helped Daisy Blue with her flowers and even smelled a few. This day was going great.
 
“Thanks, princess~~” Daisy got interrupted.
 
“No need to call me princess. Just Star Twist is fine”
 
The two of them smiled a little, both staring into each other’s eyes. All of the decorations were coming together, and everything was wonderful.
 
At the end of the day, Star and Daisy said their goodbye’s and went their separate ways. Star secretly hoped they’d meet again.
