Sandbar was walking ahead of her and turned to look back, letting out a chuckle. “Come along, Ocellus, don’t get left behind.” He said.
“Oh, Sandbar, be careful, don’t step on them!” Ocellus said quickly, seeing where Sandbar was going.
Sandbar stopped on his tracks and lifted his huge hoof above the crowd. “Oops, sorry tinies…” He said, grinning a bit embarrassed. He leaned down, bringing his face as close to the ground as he could. “Well, hello little ones.” He smiled and a group of girls giggled, coming close to him, with some even stroking his fur.
Ocellus looked at him. “Oh, he is socializing so easily with them, what if they don’t like me, since I am not a pony…” She thought.
Sandbar was chuckling and nuzzled the girls. “Would you like to come to my back, you could show me the city.” He said to which the girls nodded enthusiastically, and Sandbar began carefully lifting them one by one to his back.
Ocellus rubbed her leg. “Maybe I should try too…” She thought, trying to encourage herself. She looked around and spotted a small boy who seemed alone. “Hey, little one, are you lost?” She asked softly as she could, bringing her head down.
The little boy whimpered a little but nodded. “I can’t find my Mommy and Daddy…” He said quietly.
“Oh no… But I can help you find your parents.” She smiled encouragingly.
“R-really, Miss?” He said and came to hug her hoof.
“Aw, of course, it won’t be a trouble at all.” He said and gently scooped him on her hoof.
“Oh, this is so high…” He whimpered a little, grabbing her hoof.
“Don’t worry, little one, I won’t let you fall.” She smiled softly. “Let’s go seek your parents.” She grinned happily and they started looking around, Ocellus smiling happily having a chance to help tinies.
