Silver Lining is a friendly and peaceful stallion, whose razor wit is as sharp and deadly as his rapier. He is not the strongest or the most skilled warrior, but he is very nimble, and often overcomes his opponents by dodging their attacks, or annoying them with his incessant banter.  
Also, after years of training in a seaside village of bards, Silver Lining was branded with a magical tattoo on his neck, which allows him to perform minor vocal spells, and with sufficient concentration, even alter his voice. As his voice is an important element of his combat, Silver does not hold his rapier in his teeth like most ponies, but rather inserts his hoof into a hoof-shaped cup and wields his rapier like an extension of his leg. He also has a short bow and an iron dagger, but as both weapons must be held in his mouth, he only uses them when absolutely necessary.  
In his spare time, Silver Lining loves to sing, tell jokes and fly around the sky, molding clouds into fun shapes.
