Description

Entrance: Descends onto the stage while flapping her wings.

Icon: Her cutie mark.

Somnambula can air jump four times. All attacks involving her pole (except Pole Tornado and Down Throw) do an extra 5% damage and launch enemies further if the tip hits an enemy.

Neutral A: A jab, a rapid punch, and an overhead slash with both wings. All punches do 1-3% damage per hit, and the wing slash does 10%.

Forward Tilt: A buck (8-10% damage). Press A again to follow this up with a bipedal hook (7-8% damage).

Down Tilt: Tail sweep. 10-15% damage and trips enemies.

Up Tilt: Uppercut. 10-17% damage.

Dash Attack: Pole thrust. 14-20% damage.

Forward Smash: Dagger throw. 15-24% damage depending on charge. If Somnambula is up close to an enemy, this becomes a melee attack instead of a projectile.

Down Smash: Pharaoh Wave. Pharaoh Man’s weapon in Mega Man: The Power Fighters. Somnabula stands upright and thrusts her forehooves to both sides, shooting one fire wave forward and one backward. Each wave does 7-14% damage depending on charge. Also counts as a melee attack if used directly near an enemy. The waves cannot be deflected or absorbed.

Up Smash: Upward pole thrust. 17-25% damage.

Neutral Air: Curls into a ball and spins, using her wings to cut enemies. Hits 6 times for 2-4% damage each hit.

Forward Air: Swings pole in an overhead motion. Slow startup, but has a meteor effect. 20-22% damage.

Back Air: Swings pole behind her. 14-21% damage.

Up Air: Upward pole thrust. 20-22% damage.

Down Air: Pogo jump with pole. Has a meteor effect and buries enemies. 14-20% damage. Upon landing on any enemy or platform, Somnambula will bounce back up, allowing her to perform another attack. Can be moved left and right with the Control Stick.

Grab: Somnambula grabs both ledges and enemies with a lasso. After this, she stands on her hind legs and wraps one arm/foreleg around the grabbed enemy.

Pummel: Squeezes opponent. 3-5% damage each hit. Slow pummel.

Forward Throw: Punches opponent. 12-22% damage.

Back Throw: Rolls backwards, then throws opponent. 14-20% damage.

Up Throw: Powerbomb. 17-22% damage.

Down Throw: Pins opponent to the floor with her pole. 16-23% damage.

Ledge attack (fast): Belly slide. 10% damage.

Ledge attack (slow): Pole thrust. 15% damage.

Floor attack (both down and trip): Punches forward (10% damage) and kicks backward (15% damage).

Floor attack (up): Thrusts pole to both sides (both hits do 11% damage).

B: Moon Cutter
-Somnambula takes off her headdress’ moon to throw said moon as a boomerang. Can be aimed in any horizontal, vertical, or diagonal direction with the Control Stick. Travels half the length of Battlefield, then always returns to Somnambula (by moving her around in certain ways, she can also have the moon orbit her). Does 2-5% damage per frame.

B Custom 1: Pharaoh Shot
-Pharaoh Man’s weapon from Mega Man 4. Somnambula throws a small fireball that does 3-8% damage and can be aimed diagonally up or down. Hold B and she will create a larger fireball that consistently floats above her head, doing 2-4% damage per frame (for extra fun, uppercut enemies into the fireball). The large fireball will disappear if Somnambula is hit. When thrown by pressing B again, it does 15-25% damage and has heavy knockback.

B Custom 2: Stone Bow
-Somnambula stands upright, pulls out a bow, and fires a stone arrow. Hold B to charge, then release to fire. Can be aimed in any direction with the Control Stick (hold a direction to adjust the angle), but isn’t limited to horizontal, vertical, or diagonal directions. Does 5-20% damage depending on charge. Aim at enemies’ heads for increased knockback and an extra 6% damage.

Forward B: Pole Tackle
-Hold B to charge this attack, then release for a shoulder charge with the same foreleg Somnambula holds her pole with. When this attack connects, she will then swing her pole forward. Distance and damage (5-10% from initial dash and 10-17% from the pole swing) both depend on charge.

Forward B Custom 1: Pharaoh Dash
-Kirby’s Burning ability, a fireball-engulfed dash forward. Erases projectiles and knocks enemies backward. 10-19% damage. Use as a Smash attack for increased range and knockback and an extra 5-8% damage.

Forward B Custom 2: Pharaoh Firewall
-Functionally similar to Ness’ PK Fire and Robin’s Arcfire, Somnambula shoots a gravity-affected bolt of fire forward. The bolt travels a quarter of Battlefield’s length (when used on the ground), does 5% damage, and erupts into a column of fire that does 1-4% damage per frame. The column disappears after 2 seconds. When this is used as a Smash attack, the fireball goes in a straight line for the entire length of Battlefield, moves faster, does 10% damage, and erupts into a taller column of fire that does 3-4% damage each frame.

Up B: Triple Dagger
-Somnambula jumps again and throws three daggers below her in a spread pattern. Each dagger does 7-9% damage and has a meteor effect.

Up B Custom 1: Pole Tornado
-While flying up with her body straight for 3 seconds, Somnambula twirls her pole above her head, creating a small tornado around her. Can be moved left and right. 2-4% damage per frame (each hit with the pole causes an extra 1-2% damage).

Up B Custom 2: Pharaoh Teleport
-Somnambula teleports with the pharaoh magic. Can be directed in any direction with the Control Stick. This attack can hit at both the start and the end of the teleport (both hits do 10-15% damage).

Down B: Eye Shield
-A shield like Pharaoh Man’s in Power Fighters. Somnambula’s version does more than just block attacks. It repels any melee attacker (high knockback, but no damage) and deflects projectiles. However, Somnambula is still vulnerable to attacks from behind.

Down B Custom 1: Sarcophagus
-Somnambula sets an open sarcophagus on the floor which stands upright. Any enemy that touches the sarcophagus’ open side will get trapped in it for three seconds, allowing Somnambula to attack the immobile enemy. Just be warned: This can also be used to trap her as well. 20% damage to the sarcophagus’ back side will send it sliding forward. If this special is used in the air, the sarcophagus falls straight down before opening. The fall does 15-20% damage and has a meteor effect.

Down B Custom 2: Search Snake
-Snake Man’s weapon from Mega Man 3. After Somnambula throws out a snake in a small arc, it will crawl along surfaces. Unlike Snake Man’s version, this one poisons enemies it touches (for 3 seconds, they will take 1-2% damage per frame). 10-13% damage on contact.

Final Smash: Dry Dry Ruins
-Somnambula dashes forward, grabs an opponent (this is unblockable), and flies him or her into Dry Dry Ruins from Paper Mario, which then sinks back below the sand for an instant kill.

Up taunt: Waves pom poms in the air. This can hit enemies 3 times for 1-4% damage each hit.

Down taunt: Turns to the camera and winks.

Side taunt: Spins her pole in front of her for 1 second, then holds it forward vertically. Yes, this is also an attack (The spin does 1% damage per frame, then the thrust does 7%. Only the thrust is stronger when its tip hits enemies).

Victory pose 1: Same as Up taunt.

Victory pose 2: Same as Down taunt.

Victory pose 3: Same as Side taunt.

Victory pose 4: Somnambula flies to the floor, lies on her side, and smiles.

Victory pose 5: Somnambula flies around, then hovers.

Lose pose: Hoof-stomps.

Alternate costumes: Pinkie Pie, Flash Magnus, Mage Meadowbrook, Rockhoof, Mistmane, and Star Swirl The Bearded.

Kirby hat: Her headdress.

Victory fanfare: “My Little Pony. Do you know you’re all my very best friends?”

Trophy description: Calm, collected, and caring, this ordinary village pony never gave up hope for her homeland – and became a legend for saving it. As one of the Pillars of Equestia, she represents the Element of Hope. In Smash, she brings her favorite tool of hope, a pole, and Pharaoh magic based on a certain Egyptian-themed robot master.

Weight: Same as Peach.
