The rainfall on Saturday 28th of July had washed away the chalk drawings that had been made up to that point, but Sunday once again was a VERY sunny day and given the way the chalk drawing had taken off on the final day in 2017 (after the closing ceremony and without any further panels to compete for time in particular) I was optimistic that it would be the same this year. I was not disappointed :)
 
On Sunday I wanted to focus on drawing the characters voiced by our guests of honor and started out with Sweetie Belle. Two fellow bronies helped me filling in the outlines and I am very thankful because otherwise the time would not have sufficed to draw all three characters I drew that day. Unfortunately the two bronies who helped filling in Sweetie Belle didn’t leave me their names so I cannot yet credit them as clearly as I could in case of the bronies who helped filling in the Wachmann drawing. If you are one of the two and are reading this, please let me know so I can edit the text and give you more direct credit.  
Claire Corlett, who voices Sweetie Belle, had mentioned during the voice actor panel that if she had to choose she prefers Sweetie Belle with her cutie mark over her without the cutie mark, which settled the question for me which version of Sweetie Belle I was going to draw.
 
To me it was one of the great highlights of the GalaCon when Claire and Ian James Corlett came outside to see the chalk drawings.  
Did you know that he voiced the legendary SILVER SHILL, guardian of the key of harmony to the chest of the tree of harmony, thereby responsible for the vanquishing of Tirek and the one who made Applejack’s honesty worthwhile and… OH COME ON !  
Err… right back on topic. But anyone who didn’t yet get that joke will when the video of the voice actor panel at the GalaCon will come out. Claire and Ian James both did so much to make it an awesome event and I very much hope they enjoyed it as much.
