General bio:
The son of Starlight Glimmer and Princess Twilight Sparkle, Alchemy is a scientist, who teaches at Canterlot University and lives with his best friend Apple Jewel. Alchemy is, in a nutshell, a total nerd. Al loves teaching, LARPing and doing scientific experiments. He is well known, not only for his brilliant mind, but also his quirky behavior. Al has a hard time understanding social obligations and boundaries.

Al is extremely logical, but that comes with the cost of being a narcissistic jackass. He often pokes fun at his friends and family, but they’ve learned to either counter him, or just ignore him. He is often confused as to why everypony else seems so slow, and get’s impatient with them very easily. He also wishes he was a unicorn, then he could do real magic.

Alchemy has many interests, including reading and writing comics, LARPing, chess and movies. He often gets together with Solar Flare so the two can play chess together. He also knows quite a lot about Buckball, Archery and Swordsplay, thanks to his Uncle Shining.

When he’s not being a pretentious pain in the flank, Alchemy is actually a very kind and generous young stallion. Sadly, he’s a pretentious pain in the flank 99% of the time, so those moments of kindness are few and far between.

Relationships:
Twilight & Alchemy have a close bond. While Twilight can’t teach him magic, much to his chagrin, the two bond over their shared love of science and math. Alchemy will always write to Twilight about his work, and she will proudly tell everypony about how clever her son is

Starlight & Alchemy aren’t as close, but they still love each other very much. Al goes to Star on advice when he doesn’t want a long lecture.

Alchemy is secretly jealous of his sister Astral Plane, as she can do magic, while he can’t. They have a normal sibling relationship, some light teasing, some fights, the usual. She likes to go visit him, and bitch slap anypony who’s giving him trouble

Alchemy’s roommate, Apple Jewell, has been his best friend as long as he can remember. The two are roommates, and even though they often get into fights, they’re usually very close. Al has no trouble with Apple Jewel’s refusal to follow male stereotypes, and Jewel has no problem with Al’s quirks.

Outside of Jewell, Alchemy is also very close to Zephyr and Sky Stinger’s daughter, Seabreeze. The two go out LARPing together, and they both agree that beating other ponies half to death with foam swords is very relaxing.
