You enter some commands and set the computer to restart and begin a boot time scan as well as mark some points of interests like the ports Brandy closed, while you’re at it, you also set your server to scan as well.
 
Since you know that this is going to take some time, you fix yourself some instant noodles and begin installing software on the new deck.
 
You think about escaping this. You really don’t have enough scratch to really start over right now, and if it was this easy to find you this time, it probably wouldn’t be that hard for them to track you down again, especially if they wanted to.
 
You think that they may be using you as some kind of scapegoat but if that was the case, why would they give you a more powerful deck just so you could be caught. The bonus for doing the job clean could be just a ruse but the gift… that just seems unnecessary.
 
You finish the scans and find nothing out of place… This can’t be right, they must have installed a worm or a keylogger, something. You check some key places again with a computer security audit OS you usually use for cracking systems on site. Nothing.
 
You’ve learned nothing other than the fact that there’s something wrong going on.
