If you’re going to make a whole superhero thing, why go so boring and derivative on the heroes? None of them feel like the mane six, or like sensible superheroes, just “familiar enough” expies to pretend like you’re writing a comic. The “useless sidekick” plot device makes no sense, the moral is confused, and Fluttershy’s rage mode was an absolute deus ex machina. It fails as an MLP episode and simultaneously fails as a comic book homage. Also, Pinkie could have just solved everything herself? All the others were struggling with their powers but she was doing fine until she ran directly into a tornado AND immobility spray.

I was so disappointed by how interesting the episode COULD have been with just the slightest bit of creativity, that it motivated me to try and do better myself. That’s what led to the creation of my supervillain team, the Sinister Six!
(yes I know that’s a spider-man thing, but the name fits too well ok?)

Each one has powers and abilities to counteract their Power Pony counterparts, but those powers and personalities are also based heavily on the mane six. From left to right, we have Stickywicket, Meteoryte, The Antimattercorn, Mesmeralda, MissFortune, and Yellowbelly. They also have a mastermind boss, but for the most part The Antimattercorn is their de facto leader.
