Queen Venacia is Queen Chrysalis’s Grandmother, who ruled for nearly a millennia before Chrysalis was born.
She ruled alongside her husband King Monothis. (will be shown soon)
Venacia was a noble-born, part of the most powerful noble family. At a young age she was considered odd, but she was a prodigy. A changeling with genius level intellect. By the age of 10 she was five classes ahead of her smartest piers. But with her intelligence came arrogance.
Venacia was distant and had few friends, she locked herself in her family’s library any chance she got to absorb more knowledge.
It wasn’t until she was 24 and had a chance encounter with the future king, Prince Monothis.
That day she had been visiting the Royal Palace for the first time with her parents. While the Royals were talking she slipped away and made a b-line for the palace library to hide until the visit was over. She slipped past guards with ease and made her way to the room. Once inside she locked the door and searched row by row and column by column, grabbing any book that caught her eye.
When She had a sizable stack she went to a quiet corner to read. It was then that she bumped into her future husband. And said bump caused the two to fall and many books to fall with them. When they recovered the looked at eachother for a long.
Monothis was smitten with the book-worm, though the feeling was not mutual. Venacia calmly and wordlessly collected her books and went to her corner. Monothis then tried over and over again to get her attention, each attempt failed as she drove him away with spells and trickery.
But with persistence and from the fact that the attempts annoyed her, Venacia threw him the metaphorical bone and listened. They ended up talking for hours, Monothis had proven to be quite the mental sparing partner. Nowhere near her skill but enough to entertain the cold female. When it was time for her family to leave they said their goodbyes.
They grew closer with more and more frequent visits until the day came where Monothis asked her to marry him.
She said no…. then she kissed him and asked him to marry her.
And so she became Princess Venacia and eventually Queen.
But even as Queen she was not the most favored royalty in the bloodline, she was often cold to anyone outside her own family. She was very reclusive and studied strong and powerful magic and creating potions, even a few Dark Magic spells as well. Her specialty was elixirs that were said to cure any ailment, though she never shared her creations with anyone.
But despite her dark and suspicious nature Venacia was not turn evil…. odd, but not evil.
Among family she was kind and warm, she and her husband loved eachother very much.
But her warmth did not extend to servants or other nobility within the kingdom.
