Them’s Fightin’ Herds is nearly out, so I wanted to actually do something fancy for its release (unlike the simple cast shot I did before). I was holding this until a release date happened and well, it was announced faster than I expected, so here it is!
 
Let’s pretend Tian is taking Pom to the Empress. That sounds like a scenario that could happen. Yes.I really like the work itowns has done on the stage backgrounds, so I wanted to attempt to draw my favorite. Backgrounds are something I’ve wanted to get better at, so it all worked out well. There’s a lot that could be better here but I like how it came out. And that’s what practice is for. I started with a rigid sketch so I feel like that held back a lot of detailing. Also, their eyes were added last second so they’re a bit out of place but I thought it looked weirder without them. Hope to maybe see you all online at release! I’ve always been nervous about playing fighting games online (I’ve only ever played arcade mode in the beta) but maybe I’ll break that soon. Anyone who has the beta want to play before release? :v
