Personality: Rose is calm and never questions why she looks different compared to her siblings. She likes to socialise with the citizens of the Crystal Empire and learn about their culture. Rose inherited her mother’s love of books and often sits on the balcony reading up on the Empire’s past.
 
Biography: Twilight had returned home from some royal duties, tired and worn as usual. Nopony was there to greet her now that Spike had left to live with Ember, the one thing that was to greet her though was a letter sat on the table. She cracked open the seal and saw that it was from her parents, were they moving or something? The contents of the page were mainly about medical and familial terms, at the bottom it stated that Twilight and Shining were, in fact, not related. Twilight’s heart dropped, she was no longer related to the handsome stallion which she idolized. That night, she took to drinking where she met her “brother”, she dropped the letter in front of him so he could see what had made her so sad. He held her close and promised that they were always connected, not as a brother and sister, but as a love that both could turn to. Shining had taken her home after they shared a few drinks, she dragged him upstairs to tuck her into bed like he had done when they were fillies, except.. They snuggled under the moonlight and conceived Rose. At the time, they were happy but they’d soon face the real world again. Shining had to leave to return to the Empire, he had no idea that Twilight had become pregnant. Shortly after the birth of the foal, Twilight had to make a choice: keep or give the foal away. She was torn. After some time considering the options, she thought it was best if Shining and Cadence took care of the foal. Twilight left the little foal on the doorstep for a maid to collect.
 
Unknowing of her true parents, Rose is lead to believe her “real” ones are Shining and Cadence. The filly quickly became close friends with Flurry Heart, Aura and Mistral. Her upbringing was like any other, she was smiling a lot and rarely made a sad face. During a trip to Ponyville to see “Auntie” Twilight, Rose saw there was a concert which was ongoing. With no consent she attended and saw what music truly was, a handsome stallion stood at a microphone. She was love-struck, all her thoughts revolved around this one musician. She rarely sees him now since the concert, but her hopes to finally meet him still linger.
