Personality/Background:
Seashell was the result of Tree Hugger and Zephyr Breeze’ brief fling. Timing is everything however and Tree Hugger became pregnant. They didn’t meet again however until she brought him the baby, Zen Waves, months later. Zeph didn’t take to the baby very well and shut himself off from the pair. Although Tree Hugger was to raise her, she failed on doing so.
Throughout the years Zen took to looking after herself while her mother was constantly on retreat. During one of her searches for food, she stumbled across Ponyville beach. She immediately fell in love with the place. At first she stayed only a little in case her mom got worried, this eventually led her to running away to live at the beach as her mom never noticed nor presumably cared.
Zen changed her name to Seashell and decided to forget her childhood life as a forgotten child of a neglecting hippie and a narcissistic freeloader.
Seashell is a lovely and generous mare who loves to help other ponies. She was unofficially made a therapist by the townfolk as she often helped them calm down whenever they made their way to the beach. She is a brilliant listener and her soft, sweet voice is loved by all. Although she does seem to be rather wishy-washy when it comes to certain things like relationships. In groups she’s usually the go with the flow one.
However, her sweet and calming nature falls when either of her parents are mentioned or within a distance of her. She’ll become rather cold and unpredictable, like the ocean.
Special Relationships:
Seashell didn’t know she had any other family until Fluttershy came to release some crabs onto the beach. Since then she has become the mother she never had and they share a miraculously close bond. She always feels loved whenever she sees the shell necklaces Fluttershy keeps from her.
Seashell also has a close relationship with Gabby and her family of three. Gabby often volunteers to help clean the beach every so often. They hit it off pretty well and Gabby often brings her wife and daughter to play on the beach.

- Due to living on the beach, Seashell’s diet mainly consists of seaweed. She also makes a profit by selling the seaweed to the spa.
- Seashell doesn’t know how to fly very well (if at all). No one taught her until she met her Auntie Fluttershy. But due to a late start she can barely get off the ground. She’d much rather use her wings to stay afloat while paddling in the sea.
- Seashell does not get along with her parents AT ALL. She often tries to avoid Tree Hugger when she can by making herself scarce or pretending to be too busy to notice. She usually leaves rather soon. Her father however is more persistent. At first she thought she understood him and pitied him. She welcomed him with open arms. This stopped however when he became too needy and eventually broke into her beach house and stole her money. She’s hated him since. Now whenever they meet she insists that they are not related in any way.
