The pink stallion didn’t speak a word and merely replied with a sad grunt.
Flurry huffed disaprovingly and then watched as their little cousin climbed up to reach Ripper as he sat slumped over the table.
The Sparkle kids had recently come over for a visit and having the miserable prince out on display like this didn’t sit right with his elder sister. Sure she didn’t want him to be sad, but at this point it was starting to get ridiculus.
The tiny yakony foal propped herself up right infront of her cousin and asked puzzled.
“Why are you so sad?”
“His marefriend broke up with him” Flurry answered, her voice softer than her face would suggest.
“Oh… but it’s not the first time he broke up with somepony” Love Letter said cautiously
“Correct. He’s been like this for weeks though”
“You must have really loved her” Love Letter’s voice trailed of as she petted Ripper’s muzzle comforting.
The prince sighed deeply but didn’t talk, instead he closed his eyes.
“Yeah I guess you must’ve” Flurry said barely audible and then nudged his shoulder “You know I’m here in case you want to talk” she continued giving him a soft smile when he turned his head slightly.
To both of the girls surprise he actually answered:
“Thanks but i’m fine…”
Flurry’s left eyebrow rose in disbelief, but with a deep sigh she decided to leave it at that.
“Fine, atleast promise me you will go take a shower” the princess attention shifted to Love Letter “come on, let’s go do something fun”
Letter’s ears perked up and she gave Ripper a quick encouraging nuzzle “Write her a letter” she said before joining sides with Flurry “Can you style my mane like yours? Oh, and can I try your makeup, pretty please!”
“Of course, only the best for a princess” Flurry laughed slightly and Ripper could hear their voices disappear away down the hallway.
“A letter huh” he huffed.
