I’m afraid it would take too long and lead to far to write down all the events of the RPG here, (but parts of it would make for interesting fanfictions). Following the events in Finstersims refered to in earlier posts, two other players from our group successively took over the part of the game master leading our group on exciting adventures through the jungles at the southern border of Equestria respectively through a somehwhat conspirative Canterlot.
In February 2017 I took over the role of the game master and the adventure I mastered was only recently (October 2017) concluded. One of the major problems when I took over was to remove my character, Leafhelm, from the group to avoid playing a character in a game I mastered. Since Leafhelm is too personally engaged in the struggle against the nemesis of our group and sees him as a threat to all of Equestria, and also because he is rather fond of the members of the group (one of whom he had pretty much adopted) he is traveling with, there was no way he would just leave the group for some reason.
Therefore I had to remove Leafhelm against his will and make returning him to the group a central point for the adventure I mastered. Fortunately the adventures the group had gone through up to that point provided a possible way for that.
Our group was on the way to Fillydelphia since we had found clues that we might find out the identity and family of Shockfire there. Shockfire is the young member of our group who used to belong to the outfit of our nemesis, but who had apparently been brainwashed and forgotten all about her early childhood.
On the way to Fillydelphia Leafhelm meant to take a stop in his hometown of Cloudsdale (and celebrate his birthday with his family there). As we approached Cloudsdale we passed “Hurricane’s hole”, in the Equestria of our RPG “Hurricane’s hole” was the pegasi’s attempt at mining ore (at the order of Commander Hurricane, hence the name) during the feud between the tribes.
Suddenly out of nowhere a big black cloud that was definitely “not weather” appeared on the sky. Our group had been confronted with that sort of dark magic before. The cloud was moving towards our group cutting a swath of destruction through the countyside like a tornado. Due to a warning by a zebra named Ota Densi Leafhelm figured out that moment, that this cloud was set on him, would go after him and destroy everything / everypony in his vicinity. Leafhelm is not the type to sacrifice himself if there is any alternative whatsoever. With the inevitability of that cloud however he told the others of the group to “Get down!” (into the mine “Hurricane’s hole” where they would be sheltered). That is the moment depicted in this picture.
When the others were down there, rather than following and drawing the storm there, Leafhelm kicked away the probs at the mine’s entrance and flew as far away from it as he could before the cloud caught up with him.
It was a rather dramatic opening for the adventure. When the others dug themselves out of the mine this was all that they found of Leafhelm.
