Description

So, I had quite a bit of free time in my careers class to draw. It’s something I’ve been diddling info for a while as quick little things, but this is probably one if those better ones.

For those who don’t know who Jay Fosgitt is, he’s a cartoonist who works on the MLP IDW comics. He’s well known in the fandom for his unique art style that has been seen to appear.. Well a bit off. Most notably the times the anatomy was a bit broken, the amount of times there ponies have been bipedal (though he’s been cutting back), or even the times where he drew a character and such very off model (ex: the Greta incident). While there has been quite a bit of backlash, there are still those who enjoy it for it’s energetic bounce, cute chibi-like appeal, and its breakaway from some of the IDW styles that follow closer to the show.

I’m one of those who quite frankly enjoy it, but I see where a lot of Fosgitt’s critics are coming from. I mainly wanted to do this because I just love the bounciness and energy in it! It’s something that I would love to do to challenge my own way of drawing ponies.

So yeah, all I have left to say is this. If you are someone who criticizes or dislikes Fosgitt, that’s fine! Feel free to disagree, hell as long as you’re reasonable with it feel free to tell me why. Is interesting to hear different opinions.

All I ask for is respect, meaning that you aren’t just here to poor out your hate for Fosgitt on something meant as support, or use this to make drama bait. Seriously, if I find this posted anywhere trying to stir up drama of some sort, I’m going to try my best to take it down.

Finally, one last thing, if the comments/tags get too out of hand here somehow I will ask for the tags and comments to be locked until things cool down. No exceptions.

So yeah, catch y’all around!
