Description
As Joyride leaves, Emerald asks Ruby what she wants to go see.
“Oh, I dunno. It’s sorta like Whiterwater ya know? I want to wander around and see what I can find. Didn’t you ever do that?” Ruby asks, looking out their nearby window.
Emerald can’t say that he has. He was been cooped up most of his life, though he is getting his fair share of travel now.
“Right.” Ruby says, looking back at him, “Fair enough. Let’s start by finding some weird Zebra food or something. Something that we’ll remember.”
The two foals go downstairs and look for the innkeeper, who also seems to be the barkeep. Considering the time of day, it’s no surprise that he is quite swamped for work, and he brushes off the two children when they attempt to ask him questions.
The two decide to go outside and look for someone to ask about the town. When they get to the streets they see two zebras who are well armored and have an air of authority about them. The ponies cross the road, and quickly get up to them.
Emerald asks if he knows any good food places, and in addition, asks for any alchemy shops.
“Well, throw a stick in the air and whichever way it points you are sure to hit an alchemy store, little one.” The guard says with a grin, “That being said though. I wouldn’t wander around the streets this time of night. Pony’s have a tendency to disappear. Lot’s of people bitter about the war, you see. If you really want to try something though there is a nice restaurant down the street. Millet Cafe.”
The guard then points down the road towards the restaurant.
