Emerald decides to go look at some plants with Loupe, and maybe get to know her a bit better.
 
The pair walk a circle around the camp site as she scans the bushes and floor for something interesting.
 
Emerald asks what her research project was about.
 
“Oh! We were gathering samples and data about the various species of harriers. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, but important nonetheless!” She says with a smile.
 
Emerald asks if the honey the wasps have can be used as alchemical ingredients.
 
“Sure can. I think it’s used for a love potion? Or maybe it was…” Loupe starts, but then blushes and says, “S-so how is your friend Ruby doing? She was kidnapped right? I’m afraid I haven’t had much a chance to speak with her.”
 
Emearld explains that she is doing well, and that she should speak with her because she is awesome. She is good at surviving and could probably learn a thing or two from the pair of them.
 
Loupe chuckles kindly and says, “I’ll have to speak with her, she sounds - oh!”
 
Loupe says, stopping suddenly and pointing down at some white sandy rocks… Wait… Is that…?
 
“Yes, that is a plant! What looks like pebbles are in fact it’s two leaves over the top of it. It’s called a Lithops and they survive by mimicking the rocks around them. Each of the many species all look like different rocks! Isn’t that amazing?”
 
It kind of is, actually! Emerald looks around, he is indeed alone with Loupe at the moment.
