It was perfect.
Maud slowly caressed the smooth surface of the rock with her sensitive antennae. Nature had polished the stone down to exquisite smoothness over the years, leaving the grainy, porous surface devoid of any unpleasantly rough edges.
She kept feeling the stone for hours, mesmerized by the unbelievable craftsmanship of nature. Every tiny pore, every grain, every smooth lump she ran her antennae over sent shivers across her entire body. She couldn’t keep her delicate wings from fluttering with excitement.
