Emerald mentions a few things he’d like to learn. He talks about how something that could make people more vulnerable to manipulation, or perhaps one that could cause dizziness would be nice. Or perhaps something with earth powers since he is an earth pony.
 
“Oh, sure. There are spells like that. Though personally if you want to go into earth spells you are better off with goat magic, even if you need components. They’ve delved a lot deeper into that. Most pony earth magic is derived from goat magic anyway. Also, a dizziness spell would be easy, but mental manipulation spells are actually pretty difficult. You’d need strong willpower to dominate someone like that, and no offense lil’ perv, but you aren’t the best in that department.” Joyride says, turning towards him.
 
Emerald puffs his cheeks out and asks what she would suggest then. It’s not like he gave him the choice of a list or anything.
 
“Well, that’s because pony magic is pretty varied. Like I told you a while ago you can pretty much do anything with pony magic that other magics can do, it just quite a bit more magical energy. That’s because unicorn scholars had a habit of copying and converting the spells of those all around them. The only really thing we have a claim to fame to is our ability to channel raw magic power into offensive spells, as well as our fire magic.Us ponies were apparently the only ones who were crazy enough to develop something as crazy and chaotic as giant fireballs, lightning strikes, and magical beams of energy.”
 
Joyride then adjusts herself on her seat and continues, “As for spells I would suggest… Hmm… Man, it’s been a while since I’ve had to think of such simple spells… Well, there is always the classic magic missile… Can’t do too much with enchantments on yourself because of your amulet, but maybe a shield bubble? Or perhaps ‘Push’ to get enemies away from you?”
