This was no different when, near the end of their studies, the grey mare became a young mother. Broken hearted, she refused to talk about it with most ponies for several months, so naturally everypony just assumed that Bulk, her closest friend and constant companion, was the father. It took a while, but eventually this was clarified. Since then, the strong pony has always been there for his dear friend and her little foal. And, within time, he started to represent more and more a surrogate father figure to Dinky, helping her out with the small things that her mom sometimes can’t do, but that means a lot to the little one.“
