(And before we get into it, I forgot to mention that the full body character designs of my ng ocs at the upper left corner are fairly outdated. So if any design changes happens or the art style looks slightly different, *oops* XP)

BACKGROUND & PERSONALITY  
 
Being sheltered and overprotective by her benevolent parents, Val was bound to be a very reserved and a non-social gal. However, as quiet as she is, she’s quirky and packed to the brim with information that’s ready to be poured out unto one unfortunate soul. She’s constantly kept in the comfort of her Scaly Shack (that holds all or her scaly and slimy pets XP) and strawberry garden, and NEVER leaves unless somepony nags her. But she does enjoy small company, (though at first she may have a trap to prevent unknown newcomers TwT), and if you know her password (which is “Dragzilla is number one”), she’ll welcome you in with no harm. Now, you may think that if she knows somepony, for instance, her good friend Estella, that their dialog isn’t going to be one-sided… well it is, surprisingly on Val’s part as she just babbles on about “how her pet albino boa Ginger didn’t get along with her new boyfriend boa Wasabi” or something along those lines XP.  
 
At first, when Valentine meets a new pony, she’s very silent and shy. But the second that pony peaks her interest (like mentions anything scaly related), she’ll start talking (and talking, and talking…) until she can’t no more. Though most ponies will find her communications to be too rambly and sophisticated for comfort, some may find amusement in her topics and made-up tales regarding her scaly friends and obscure interests. It just really depends on who she’s talking to. Also, she’s not scared of socializing per se, it’s simply just not in her experience or field of interest. But she will be a bit nervous and stiff, compared to how loosey-goosey and carefree she normally is.  
 
Valentine isn’t new to trying out bizarre things, and having those “bizarre things” become her norm (like taking care of extremely poisonous animals and saying “this is fine” when one of them bites her). Though she may look like the pony to chicken out on things, she’s not, and would be the one to dive into things head first. She’s fearless and reckless unlike how her mother once was (and still sort of is). She’s very intelligent too, when it comes to health, nutrition and survival, as those are the few things in which she partakes in daily (like gardening and nurturing animals). Many find her weird, as she’s a filly with bugs in her hair, has long fanged canines, almost always constantly smuggling exotic animals (in this case, her lovely boa, Ginger :3) anywhere she goes, and is just a female Brave Wilderness. However, a handful of over may find her beautifully natural and honestly helpful.  
 
RELATIONSHIPS  
 
☆Fluttershy: Her lovely mother who spoils her with many things due to Val being her only child. She’s spoiled her with her own personal shack, pets, and hundreds of knitted sweaters, hats and scarfs. Flutters spends a lot of her time with Val as she hourly visits her Shack to keep in touch since she knows Val doesn’t have “much” company. Sometimes, Fluttershy even helps her manage her strawberry farm and her animals. Val considers her mom to be her friend, and the same goes for Fluttershy. Flutters will do anything in the world to keep her daughter happy, safe and content. ANYTHING! I swear, one day Fluttershy went all the way to the pony’s equivalent to Australia (Oatstralia, reference to Lopoddity!^^ GO SUPPORT HER) just to find a certain snake to give Valentine as a birthday gift.  
 
☆Big Macintosh: Val’s OVERPROTECTIVE dad. I swear, Big Mac won’t allow absolutely anything or anypony to come NEAR her. Though he and Fluttershy are good friends with Discord, Big Mac doesn’t like him around Val for too long, or even his chaotic kids, Athena and Helios (for reasons). He doesn’t mean to come off as being racist or mean, it’s just a subconscious fatherly thing he does for the protection of his precious daughter. The same treatment goes for Rarity and Spike’s hybrid kids too, Jade and Ignatius, which is unfortunate because Val is good friends with one of them (Jade). Big Mac doesn’t disrespect Discord, his kids or Jade and Ignatius either, he loves them in his own Big Mac way, but it’s just when they’re around his daughter that’s when he gets slightly tense and defensive. He just doesn’t want those sharp claws getting near her, y’know ;w;. He even didn’t like it when Fluttershy allowed Val to have a snake at such a young age, in fact, he doesn’t like her having big scaly animals at all. But knowing that animals are her comfort and enjoyment, he had to suck it up and let her have them. Val is slightly phased by this, as she loves risky things and unique ponies/creatures, and her dad just keeps restricting her from it all.  
 
☆Estella: Real good childhood friend of hers, and the main one nagging her to go places. Val loves her dear friend to bits, but ultimately refuses her request to go on trips or events. Val would rather stay in her Shack with her scaly friends, and commute with Estella there. Sure Estella will stay around for Val’s sake, but she really wants to get Val out of her shell, because Estey sees charm in her. If Valentine is there to make Estella less afraid of scaly creatures (like snakes) then Estella is there to help Valentine to become a little bit more social. That’s what friends are for, to help you experience and overcome the journey of life to the fullest.  
 
☆Jade: Another childhood bestie, who %secretly% keeps in touch due to Big Mac’s strict rules. Jade finds herself sneaking to Val’s Shack to just stop by and say hello. Jade being the pessimistic emo she is, finds joy in Valentine’s cheerful nature yet unexpected interest in lovecraftian novels and scary giant creatures. If anything, the two read the novels back and forth with each other and binge watch the old poorly made Dragzilla movies almost daily; “It never gets old” apparently. If I’m being honest, Jade may have a bit of a crush on Val, and Val too may find Jade cute and “adorkable”. The two have yet to express their feelings for each other, but I guess for the meantime they still view each other as besties. (Val may see Jade as a miniature Dragzilla lol >w<).  
 
☆Dove Dreamcatcher: Once again, this Dove pony is another incredible childhood friend of Val’s. Dove is more of the chilled and laid back hippie friend, who is also a nature buff like Val (Dove is Val’s equivalent to Treehugger). Dove has her own collection of pets, all with their respective personalities given by her. Dove cares for all birds though, however, her palm cockatoo, Hibiscus, always tags along with her. Thanks to Dove, Val has also taken a liking to birds, but wouldn’t really dare to get one as she fears that her scaly friends will eat them. Though friends, there may be a mild competition between the two to see who has the most and the best animals. But neither of them are jealous or ungrateful of their pets, it’s just a mild little tendency they have. For example, Val would be like, “Oh, did you know that Ginger can do [insert incredible thing]!,” but then Dove would be all like, “Well that’s great and all, but Hibiscus here can do [insert incredible thing]”. They’re just praising their pets, that’s all XP. And I will admit it too, Val may also have feelings for Dove….and so does Dove back…. (I KNOW Y’ALL ARE SEEING THE LOVE TRIANGLE HERE)  
 
☆Other (Namely Lightning Bolt and Rocky Road): Aforementioned here: https://www.deviantart.com/theartfox2468/art/Star-AU-MEET-LIGHTNING-BOLT-899024468 , after a certain point in school (which was middle school or so), Val, Rocky and Light all kinda just drifted apart, off doing their own things. However, like I said, through the friendship they share with Estella, they all occasionally stay in touch, meeting up at once and sharing what they’ve been up to. Sure it’s nothing much, but they all appreciate the time they have together. For Val, it’s great to have a reminder that she has more friends to rely on and talk to.  
 
EXTRA  
 
☆Would consider herself to be a Slytherin (for reasons), though most tests say she’s a Hufflepuff. >w<  
 
☆She claims to be the wife of Dragzilla, and calls herself Queen Zillaella (how original XD).  
 
☆Obviously is a master at talking to herself. Might be friends with the monsters under her bed (or hammock… she sleeps in a hammock XP).  
 
☆ Actually needs her strawberry farm to help with her fruit cravings (inherited by her partially fruit bat mom). Strawberries are quicker and easier to grow for Val. All types of berries in general are her favorite, like blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, BANANAS you name it. May or may not open her own smoothie shop in the future.  
 
☆Where’s braces to regulate her pointy canine teeth. Big Mac was of course the first one to persuade her into getting braces, and Val innocently obliged.  
 
☆Lives separately from her mom and dad in her Shack due to her pet allergy (fur allergy. She’s allergic to dog and cat fur). Though I said she’s fearless, she’s a little off-putted by cats and dogs though. She doesn’t want to go through that sneezing and itching fit that she had when was younger again. “It was horrible and non-stop”, she claims.  
 
☆Idk, she’s like a mixture between Tilly from Big City Green and Cat from VICTORiOUS. Help me y’all XD  
 
☆Don’t ever call her Ambrosia or Amy… She finds it uncomfortable and weird. Only her parents can say her name. She would be all like, “*scoffs*, I don’t know you junebug”.  
 
☆Other short catch phrases consist of scaly animal related idioms or interjections, such as “See ya later alligator,” or “Been a while crocodile”, OR, “LEAPIN’ LIZARDS!”.
