Description
Emerald looks over to where Ruby was watching the pony’s arm wrestle. She seems to have wandered off towards the chef, who has put out a few plates of food.
Emerald walks over and sees what’s there. Surprisingly enough there is some pretty well prepared food here. Emerald vents his surprise to Ruby.
“Nah, the chef has been cooking since this morning. He said either there’d be a celebration, or he’d have to impress the sailors enough with his food to let him live. Guess everywhere is a struggle on the high seas.”
Emerald smiles, and then asks if she wants to go see the treasure they ended up taking.
Ruby’s eyes light up. Emerald gives her a sheepish smile. He can only guess that she is going to try and take some of it. The colt suggests they talk to Joyride about it, and walk over to her card game again.
Emerald doesn’t want to ask right away about it, so instead he asks if she’ll train him with the knife he has.
“Don’t know much about that kind of thing, lil’ perv. I thought I told you that already? I mean I can teach you a little I guess, but I’m more of a magical type of gal.” Joyride says, not turning from her game.
Emerald asks if how he could get his hooves on some pistols.
“Probably when we get to shore. I doubt the captain will just let you have one for free. I mean, you might be able to buy one off of him if you are really that desperate.”
Emerald asks how much longer before they get to shore.
“Oh, about another week. Maybe a little bit more.” Joyride replies.
Finally, Emerald asks where the treasure they absconded with went.
“I think the Captain put it in one of the smaller storage rooms above. And before you get any ideas.” Joyride says turning sharply to the filly, “He’s counted and cataloged every piece, so don’t go taking any of it alright? You’ll get your share we when get to our destination.”
