Daring Do Adventure Logs #61 - The Rhino  
“All gear in perfect working order. Enchantment on coat shows no sign of fading, power crystals to be used as bait in perfect condition, provisions, etcetera, etcetera.
 
I’ve arrived in Yakyakistan to start my latest adventure. This time I’m on the hunt for a legend; the Rhino of the Frozen North. Supposedly an immense being that stalks the frozen wastes of Arctite, the Rhino is a being that appears in a number of Yak mythology books, and according to what I’ve read, is still around to this day.
 
I asked about the Rhino around the settlement but most Yaks weren’t willing to respond. Luckily, none other than the King Caluim himself offered to tell me about the beast. He described it as being the subject of a number of Yak fairy tales, and offered more evidence to what this beast might look like: Taller than the walls of Yakyakistan, wandering around on two arms and two legs, like an overgrown Minotaur that could no longer support its own weight. Terrifying red gaze, black abyss of a mouth…

Considering how big and violent this thing is meant to be… maybe I’m getting in over my head with this one. I’ve dealt with “travellers” such as the Rhino in the past, but none of them still had their original forms to fight back with. This could be a dangerous mission, but I’ve come prepared, just like always. I’ll set out into the frozen wastes tomorrow morning. Let’s just hope it doesn’t see me before I see it.”
