I think I’ve finally came up with my Foenician self! And he actually looks like me! ^^
 
I was kinda playing around with the idea of making my character as an Okapi - Siberian Musk Deer hybrid, but he wasn’t looking quite right. I mean, he kinda looked similar to my normal OC, but not quite enough.
 
At this point I had already given him my birthmark and front-anklets, but was begging for more. So I figured I’d see what he looks like with my horns and gave him some head hair, and I quite liked the look!
 
The horns made me think of a goat, so I went ahead and gave myself a goat beard as well, which also looks good in my opinion, and made him a little fuzzier than the Okapi, more like the goat.
 
So, in a nutshell, I ended up with an Okapi, Musk Deer, Bearded Goat hybrid!  
That got me to thinking, how the heck can I make that work? Well, the answer is, my Mom is an Okapi, My Dad is the Musk Deer, and my Gran-dad on my mother’s side is the old goat! Er… on second thought, maybe my gran-dad on my father’s side will be the goat. I’m actually not all that fond of my mother’s father in reality…
 
Anyway, my body style is closer to that of the Okapi, sharing the coat pattern, digestive system (eating more tree leaves than grass in general) and that long-as-heck, flexible? (can’t think of the right word ^^; ) tongue! Oh yeah, and them big nostrils! XP  
I did however also inherit the tusks and musk glands of my father, and the horns, beard, and longer fur.
 
So what do you guys think? Does I look good? Should I try adding ossicones? (stubby, fuzzy horns that Giraffidae have) Or perhaps try replacing the horns with ossicones? Meh, maybe not that… I think I’ll try adding them between my horns and see how they look… (I didn’t know the okapi was the same family as the giraffe! Ya learn something new every day! XD )  
…Whelp, just added them! They actually look good in addition to my horns! ^^
 
Of coarse I didn’t include my fedora in this drawing, cuz I wanted to be able to show more of my character, but he will still wear it a lot of the time. ;3
 
 
So what do you guys think? I’ll still have to run it by the TFH staff to see if they’ll accept him. (not sure how they’ll feel about his tusks. Kinda makes him look like a predator, although that was probably the point of the Musk Deer’s tusks, to frighen actual predators away)  
I might show them this drawing, and if they okay my design, I’ll make an improved, full-color reference drawing of him.
 
I’ll also have to do a little more reading on the animals I chose to get a better understanding of them, and be able to develop my OC into a more believable, and dynamic character.
