Description

A lot of people that Twilight Velvet is stated (or is at least hinted) of a writer. Her profile in the Gameloft game says she “likes writing adventures” (not to mention she lives in a bookshop in that game), and she has an author of the year award in the Sparkle family house, as well as a “Daring Do Award” which is apparently a high ranking award if the medal is anything to go by.

Before the episode “Daring Don’t” many people thought she was the writer of the Daring Do franchise. While I have to admit that would be pretty cool and it would have a nice setup for an episode (instead of what we got), I like to think she writes Equestria’s most famous mystery and thriller series.

For a story I’m writing, she does write for Daring Do, but her most famous series is Pseudo Facade, a story revolving around a gentleman thief type character. The two characters in this drawing with her are the two protagonists of said series.

The unicorn to the left is Sleuth Slewfoot, a skilled detective in the Las Pegasus Police Department whose father is the LPPD’s most recent superintendant. He has a wife, a young earth actress named Soprano Serenity to whom he joined with via an arranged marriage. The earth pony to the right is Bluff Bounty, the only son of the very rich owners of the Lucky Lag casino chain in Las Pegasus. He typically works as a dealer in his parent’s casino, but he also dons the persona of the famous thief Pseudo Facade after his mentor and best friend the Kicker retired from the position. The series consists of these two geniuses dueling and trying to one up each other, but will team up quite often to deal with more dangerous threats, usually the Las Pegasus Mafia and it’s boss Jade King.

So basically, she writes Equestria’s equivalent of Arsene Lupin.

I was unsure about the tags on this one so if I miss anything or need to put something specific, let me know.
