Del: chuckles Alright, alright. Now what’s wrong?

Del: Nervous? Nervous for what?
 
Amber: Del, I’m meeting your family for the first time! That’s pretty nerve-wracking if you ask me. The fact that they don’t even know that we’re dating or who I am doesn’t help
 
Del: Oh please, it’ll be nothing compared to what Lucky and Hot Head put me through after we told them. Besides, Ah told ya, they’re all real nice. They won’t judge. Except for Api…. I don’t know what happened with her. She’s a bit scary actually
 
Amber: chuckles And I don’t doubt that at all but I mean……. it’s the Apple Family Reunion. ALL of your family’s gonna be there. I’m not gonna know anyone there. I already feel like an outsider
 
Del: Hey, you know June and Cheerilee
 
Amber: Hardly. I met June maybe once or twice and I skipped out of Cheerilee’s class early
 
Del: Because you’re so dang smart
 
Amber: chuckles and rolls eyes
 
Del: You’ll be fine. I promise. You won’t be the only one
 
Amber: What do you mean?
 
Del: June’s bringing Val this year. It’s his first Apple Family Reunion too.
 
Amber: That’s different though! He’s a prince and he’s charming and he has good people skills
 
Del: And you’re not charming and don’t have good people skills? You used to go to parties and stuff all the time
 
Amber: That doesn’t mean I have good people skills. Didn’t know what I was saying half the time
 
Del: Eh, no argument there Ah guess. But you are a nurse. You’ve probably talked to a ton of different people
 
Amber: Yeah but I mostly work with kids and I just tell the parents facts about their kids’ health
 
Del: You’re making this really hard. Look, just be yourself. They’ll love ya just like I love you
 
Amber: blushes Okay. Sorry, I just really don’t wanna make a bad impression. What if they don’t like me? I don’t wanna lose you… You’re my first real boyfriend. I don’t want to mess this up
 
Del: Ah’m not gonna let that happen, alright? Please don’t worry about it. If they see what I see in you then there won’t be any problems.

Del: C’mon, you should love this. You’re gonna be a part of a big family now.
