Description

“Twilight Sparkle… again?” the mare sighed, looking over the curved desk down at the mare, her torso cradled in tight canvas and leather straps.

“Do you have any books to return?!” the unicorn shouted, “You’d better! Cause we have none left, nopony is returning them! They are missing, and I can’t put them all back in order if I don’t have any.”
She was a mess, her mane and tail unkempt from days of trying to organize the non-existent books for her library.

“She just needs to cool down for a few days.” the stallion who had brought her in said, making sure that the mare behind the desk knew. He wore a heavy trenchcoat that covered almost his entire body, sweeping down to the floor. The collar was turned up to the bottom brim of his hat, leaving the only his white boxy muzzle showing.

The mare clacked a few keys on the type writer then looked up over her glasses.
“You sure she doesn’t need to stay here a bit longer? It’s only been a few weeks since last time.”

“Princess Celestia put me in charge of watching her. She just wants her to cool off for a few days. After she collects herself, I get to take her back to Ponyville. We’ve been through this more times than I can count, and it’s always the same.”

“And no drugs?”

“No, just Propofol when she starts to ask where she is. Give me a ring when that happens and I’ll be around to collect her.”

“Sign here.” the mare slid over a clipboard to the stallion who promptly signed it and returned it back to her. “Allright Mr. S. A. We’ll give give you a call when it’s time.”

The stallion turned around to lower his head down to Twilight, whispered something in her ear and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
She didn’t realize what was going on, just made momentary eye contact then returned to wonder where the books were and why her hooves didn’t work. She never remembered this place, the hospital. Twilight was too important to spend the time she really needed here, saving Equestria when needed.
It was a good thing she never remembered, it may just be the impact that shattered her reality. A few weeks of the year disappeared, and nopony was to tell her what happened, just carry on as normal. Whatever Twilight thought normal was.
