Seriously though, I have the feeling this is one of those movies that shaped a generation of fans.
 
It has all the elements of a good science-fiction movie grounded in reality, and it combines them really well. It doesnt even suffer from what I like to call 80s Funk, which is when a movie feels really dated due to the time when it was made. It makes me really happy to see how well its aged.
 
Also, for a story about immortals in an eternal fight against each other over centuries and countries, its surprisingly not as over the top as I wouldve imagined. The acting is really good, it has some good bits of comedy here and there, and the sword fights are really engaging. Also that Sean Connery guy is great. He reminds me a lot of a friend of mine.
 
And now, if you excuse me, the weather in here is freezing. This kilt thing sure brings a draft under it. Im going to get something more cozy.
