ANYWAY, this is an idea I’ve had since asking myself a simple question. If Celestia moves the sun, and Luna moves the moon, who the crap is keeping the world spinning and thus not allowing us to get launched into space? If my liquor-hazed accounts are to be believed, it’s this guy.
Prince Terros, hewn of ancient stone and sleeping earth! The second born of the First Royal Family, and the first and only son. Although by right he is technically the heir to the throne, by tradition he was passed over for Celestia and Luna, who had both displayed kindness, courage, and leadership in the war against Discord. Not that Terros was a slouch, cowardly, or incompetent, of course. It is merely a consequence of his love for his people. A mad, mad love it was.
Possessed of a patriotic fervor and admiration for the Alicorn above all other ponies, Terros viewed the world not in terms of rich or poor, royalty or yeoman, but in terms of alicorn or inferior. After all, he and his sisters tended to the world, shepherded the younger races and made them wise. They had turned a bunch of frolicking fools into a working civilization; in Terros’ eyes, the ponies of the world owed his people their everything. As he saw it, the alicorns should rule this world!
But they did not rule. As they spent their magics, the race dwindled, their immortality the only thing keeping them from going extinct. So much had been devoted to the lesser ponies, that their own blood had dwindled. They became less, with every generation. And the lesser ponies grew greater, with every generation.
Imagine his rage. Imagine seeing his people give everything for the ponies, sacrifice their power and influence for these lesser beings. And what do the ponies do with it? Ask for more. Live in the cities, till the fields, always to their own benefit, never to the alicorns! A sacrifice for nothing! His sisters moved the heavens, he himself moved the earth! And still the alicorns grew lesser!
For any alicorn, this would be unfortunate. For Terros, who loved his people more than life itself, it was unforgivable.
Knowing he could not dethrone Celestia in trial by combat - she had proven time and again to be his superior in every single manner save pure physical strength - Terros decided to instead cripple her, declaring revolution and picking apart her infrastructure holding up her rule and the rule of her lesser ponies, like a vulture gnawing at bones. He would slowly tear apart her world, and when she had no throne to sit upon, he would ascend to pick up the pieces, and restore his people to glory!
But it was not to be. For the Princesses found Terros at the final battle for Canterlot, and using the Elements of Harmony, sealed him beneath his own stone, decreeing he was to remain, locked away until he would abandon his mad ambition.
But there was no such hope. Terros was an alicorn, through and through, and he would never abandon his pride for lesser ponies. This was no incarceration, it was his cross to bear. He would endure, for his people. He would survive, for his people.
And he would rise again, for his people.
Powers are what you might expect; stone, lava, and tectonics are his area of expertise. Cutie Mark is the symbol of the Terran Empire from Star Trek. Earthy, violent, jingoistic? No idea how he got that Cutie Mark! XD
