Bio:  
Jetstream is the oldest son of champion Wonderbolts Soarin and Rainbow Dash (not to mention Mama is known throughout Equestria as a hero). This fella is one hell of a flier. He has too long a wingspan to race at the speeds of Rainbow, but he is a wonder in the skies. His slender build and big wings contribute to his fantastic aerial displays. He entered the world with a scream that rivaled even his mother’s, and she just knew that he was going to become the best, most awesome pegasus to ever grace the sky. Well…he still is, of course, but in a different kind of way. And it’s all Ash Bark’s fault. So, a little bit of backstory: Jetstream was one of the last kids born in the group. Rainbow Dash and Soarin were both heavily involved in their (various) careers, as well as very much content with hanging out with just one another, foals weren’t a thought that often came to mind. But such is life. So, Jetstream was born, and two years later, his little brother Prism Storm. He is a deeply beloved member of his mother’s extended family. A charming little scamp, he quickly worked his way into everypony’s heart. He’s had playdates with Athena and Dawn since they were all in diapers. He has multiple aunts and uncles, but his favorite by far is his Uncle Ash, husband of Applejack. Ash Bark (son of Burnt Oak) is a musician at heart, and when his daughter Juniper was born almost completely blind, he gifted the guitar he’d been hoping to give to her and teach her to play to Jetstream instead. It all happened when Jet was visiting Sweet Apple Acres with Rainbow and took a liking to Ash’s guitar, “Old Faithful.” Ash noticed, and presented Jet instead with his very own guitar, asking him if he’d like to teach him to play. The rest is history. This laid-back, cheeky, and all-around pretty cool musician is far from competitive. Well, while he’s in the sky. All the fire in his spirit billows into the music he makes. Jet’s deep, almost lifelong passion is rock music. He’s been seen as a bit of a prodigy since he picked up that guitar. He mainly uses his electric, “Johnny Five” but is proficient on acoustic and twelve-string guitars as well. He has a voice bigger than life, and always manages to bowl over the audience with its power during his rock ballads. Jetstream currently fronts two-pony rock band, RazorWingz, with his best friend, Tourmaline “Tom” Quartz. Like all young musicians, he began throwing together lyrics and chords in his room, then finding out Tom is spectacular on drums, then practicing (loudly) in Princess Twilight’s castle, then performing a few shows in Ponyville Square. At first, only a few ponies (a.k.a. his parents/aunts/uncles/friends) showed up, but then more began to stop and listen to their music…then a few more…and before Jet knew it, he was twenty and throwing his and Tom’s luggage onto the Friendship Express to perform in Vanhoover in a real, live theater (for a high school graduation). RazorWingz is still a largely unknown name, but growing in popularity…a bit. Jet is deeply passionate about his work, and is highly creative. All of his songs come “from within his soul.” He feels that music is one of the links that keeps ponies together. Its an art form, and tells the stories of life. This guy maintains a very chill, “cool-guy” personality. But, a legitimately cool guy. Like the guy that invites the lonely kid over to his lunch table full of popular kids. Jet certainly is a popular fellow, but he gets along with most anypony. He’s kind and open to all, but is deeply devoted to his closest friends. He’s been a constant presence in Athena and Dawn’s life, and would often step in when the bullying became too much for the both of them. He even got into a full-blown fight to protect Athena from Iron Weight, Dumb Bell’s jerk of a son. He and the draconequus have always been incredibly close, sharing a love of slightly snarky humor. They’ve pretty much been low-key flirting since middle school, but neither of these dorks have even realized it. Jet quite likes Athena’s bubbly, serene and chipper nature, and rarely turns down an opportunity for adventure. Plus, those pretty turquoise eyes and long, sweet face aren’t bad to look at, either… Now, while Jetstream isn’t very competitive in the skies, he does have a less-than-friendly rivalry with Golden Strings, Diamond Tiara’s son who’s got a penchant for throwing traditional rock songs onto his harp and making it sound pretty dang good. Jetstream and Tom have more than once offered their hoof in friendship, only for Gold to smirk and proclaim, “what sportsmanship, gentlemen. However, this is a music competition. And I am going to eat you both alive.” This is one of the few things that can really get Jet riled up, and he can become a tad obsessed with showing Gold what he’s made of. It can concern Tom at times, but he finds it hard to say anything. If there’s one thing Jet despises, its inequality. Putting down other ponies just because you think your talent is better than theirs. Jet is always one of the first to congratulate his friends and cheer them on in their various accomplishments. He’s got a bit of a temper on him, and has gotten into more than one fight at school over bullies picking on other ponies. Sometimes, his temper and passion can get him into trouble. Rainbow fights with herself whether or not to praise her son for his lion’s heart or scold him for getting into trouble. Being a parent is hard sometimes.
 
Relationships:  
Jet gets along fairly well with his parents. That fire within him can put him at odds with his Ma sometimes. Rainbow Dash can see the potential within her son to be an utterly amazing flyer, and possibly the greatest Wonderbolt anypony has ever seen. It took her some time to learn that although Jet’s passion wasn’t the same as hers, it was her duty to encourage him like the most awesome mom should. They have quite the strong relationship, and now that Dash can see what her Jet can really do, she often finds herself rocking out to his pretty sweet tunes. He and Soarin have always been amicable, his father a bit more laid back about the whole future thing than his wife. He just wants his son to be happy, but wants to make sure Jetstream goes down the right path. Jet’s best guy friends are Tourmaline Quartz, son of Rarity and Happy, and Mellow Vibes, son of Treehugger and Zephyr Breeze. He’s known Tom pretty much since they were born, and have always been close. Tom shares his adoration of music and comic books, and his skill on the drums is quite unrivaled. The two love to joke around and get along very well as the RazorWingz duo. Mel isn’t exactly part of the band (though he has contributed his voice once or twice), he still attends very concert he can and is highly supportive of his friends. Jet saved him from a raging river when they were very young. When the magenta-eyed colt demanded why he decided it was a good day to drown, Mel explained that he was just wanting to enjoy the sounds of the river after a bad day at school. And boom. Best bromance this side of Appleoosa. Jet is very close to Athena. Their time spent together is full of nonchalant, amicable conversation and really bad insults/flirting. Jet calls Annie Noodleface, she calls him Rosy (for his eyes). Its all meant in good fun. They share a deep love of music, and Jet often asks Annie to use her weirdly wonderful magic to create all sorts of mind-blowing effects for his concerts. Shooting stars, colored smoke, auroras, dancing plants, fake snow, real snow, you name it! Her talent is actually rather amazing, and Jet sometimes finds himself writing lyrics about a lovely, blue-eyed creature with a heart of gold… Jet adores his “baby bro” Prism Storm, who seems less-than-thrilled with his brother’s affection (something he obviously inherited from dad). The two have a typical brotherly relationship, and have been prone to some intense arguments. But Prism can’t stay mad too long. After all, when Jet’s hanging about, he’s dragging Tom with him…and the unicorn is way more interesting than his dorky brother… He has had a rivalry with Golden Strings since he was in the fifth grade. Even before he discovered Ash’s guitar, Gold was still the bossy, ever-stuck-up rich kid that his mother (once) was. He takes very deep pride in his appearance, and has more than once looked down upon the Athenaverse gang for their less-than-perfect looks, infuriating Jet.

Here is Egghead’s boi #1. Jetstream was part of the original Athenaverse cast (waaaaaay old original draft of these guys) and he’s kinda had his character since the beginning. I loved the idea of Rainbow’s kid maybe not wanting to follow in her hoofsteps, but has a hell of a talent that blows everyone away, anyway.
 
His design is actually based partially off a good high school buddy of mine. Very similar personalities, too. Troy, I hope you never see this XD
