remember back when I said that after Discord abandoned Calamari and Chicken Wings, that they went off and lived with a witch-pony in the Everfree? Well, this is her. doesn’t she look familiar? ;3c

story time:

Ethereal was Discord’s wife for thousands of years; up until the start of his tyrannical reign of chaos. Ether couldn’t stand to see her beloved torture the innocent lives of equestria, so she fled, and he never saw her again. Ashamed of who she was, Ether gave up her draconequus form for a normal unicorn and took refuge in the Everfree forest. Years and years later, she came across two hungry, dirty fillies and took them in, seeing traces of Discord’s magic surrounding them. She took care of them until she heard of Discord’s downfall, and decided that it was finally safe for them to go off on their own. At this point, she was nearing the end of her mortal unicorn life, yet she still held enormous power. In order to see that the fillies could care for themselves, she transferred the magic she held to them, ultimately giving up her life and passing away (or, rather, becoming one with the fillies in spirit). Once that happened, Discord’s daughters were able to start their independent lives, not knowing their father and virtually forgetting who raised them as they grew older. Because of the power they were given by Ethereal, their lives had been extended greatly; they are only young adults by the time the rest of the sugarverse characters are born.

so yeah. there’s that. sugarverse got a lot more in-depth that i originally planned c,: I may or may not write an actual story about all these guys, but who knows
