Princess Amore of the Crystal Empire slowly descended into a valley before the invading force, flattening a great deal of forest in the process. The ground rumbled and even buckled beneath the giant as it beheld her immense form.
She once again extended a socked forehoof toward the yaks, resisting a smirk as the closest shuffled back. She no longer bothered with pleasantries or even donning her regalia - preferring instead to simply confront the returning army in much more comfortable dress. The yaks were funny little guys, she thought, enjoying cake with you one day and ready to annihilate you the next.
Prince Rutherford himself was the only one to remain in position when her immense hoof came to a rest after displacing tons of earth and uprooting a long line of trees. He ascended up the fuzzy cloth and boldly stamped forward atop the soft material as best he could, glaring high up at Cadance the whole while. She lifted her other hoof and rested her head as her eyes traced his lengthy march. To her knee.
“Come on, Ruth.” She muttered so as not to deafen the tiny yak. “It was kinda cute the first couple times, but seriously - go home. Let’s just live in peace, huh?”
That word is apparently Rutherford’s trigger. He planted himself squarely on her leg and roared a response with all his might, but Cadance’s flicking ears couldn’t make out a word. The meaning was clear, however - he wasn’t backing down. She lifted a brow as the yak then began to gnaw at her sock, grunting and shouting as he yanked and pummeled her leg. Spears gently pricked her hoof as a mighty war-cry erupted from the charging army.
The giant pony shut her eyes and let out a lengthy sigh as she massaged her temple. “I will sit on your palace, buddy. I swear I will!”
