These two started to communicate well when Sweetie parted with the Button, and Spike was rejected by Rarity. In their current situation, it seemed like no one could have possibly support them as they each other. The white unicorn, to her surprise, found in the funny teen dragon a good friend. And once Spike realized that he no longer loved Rarity, but her cute little sister, life was so amazing for him.
