But she’d turned the house upside down! Twice! And still there was no sign of it. Not in her practice space in her room, not in the cello’s case (where it ought to be in the first place), not anywhere!
So, frustrated and at her wits end, she knocked open the bedroom door of the only other pony who might know, no matter how remote that chance was.
“Vinyl, I simply can’t find-” she started, then ground to a screeching halt.
There was Vinyl, alright, and there was her cello’s bow.
The white unicorn smiled coyly at her and ran one finger up the draw string, see-sawing it back and forth as if playing music. She wiggled her bare chest, and giggled quietly at how huge Octavia’s eyes had gotten. She wiggled again, and batted her eyelashes.
It took Octavia a full two minutes before she could speak again.
“I’m going to have to take that from you, aren’t I?” she inquired.
Vinyl nodded excitedly, eyes gleaming brighter. For a mute, she was awfully expressive and easy to read.
Octavia sighed, then started to unbutton her blouse, all the while pretending this was just another ordeal for an already ordeal-filled day. It was hard to pull off, however, since she just couldn’t stop smiling.
%%%%%%~
Just having a little fun to start the weekend off, don’t mind me.
