I even cello, so I kind of get how this might work - I mean, if you grabbed a skillet and used the edge of it to fret, you can actually end up making the right noises, because for most cello music you don’t HAVE to fret individual strings - you can fret ALL of the strings at once, so the horse shoe on the left hoof is fine.
 
But - if you fret all the strings, then that changes the intonation a bit, so my only conclusion can be that Octavia is the most amazing cellist in all of anywhere.
