For me, one of the biggest pet peeves I have is how everyone (and I do mean everyone) always has to make Lyra Heartstrings into some human-obsessed fanatic, who either wants to prove their existence in the MLPverse, gain human hands, or become human herself, with little or no other personality.
 
Granted, Lyra is a background character with no clear personality (other than being easily excitable and emotional), but I remember the only “human-like” behavior she exhibited was when she sat on a bench in “Dragonshy”… and that’s about it.
