After Coloratura’s visit to Ponyville, where she ditched the name Countess Coloratura along with her old manager, her and Applejack continued to stay in touch. For a long while they had as good of a long distance friendship as one could have, though Applejack would sometimes loose touch with the traveling musician for a few weeks at a time, due to work. Coloratura’s music career, over all, was going good. Many people could relate to the star’s heartfelt songs about friendship, hardships, and coming of age tales, however, one day Coloratura woke up and found that she, for the life of her, couldn’t think of what to write. After half a year Coloratura was beginning to have a bit of a nervous break down. Everyday she’d try her best to come up with new songs but nothing ever came to her, until one day she received a letter from Applejack and an idea came to mind. Quickly Coloratura replied to Applejack’s letter, and in a rushed haste readied her things, and bounded for Ponyville.

Applejack would receive Rara’s letter only a day before her her arrival. Rara being back at Ponyville spawned many adventures, she would hold mini concerts for the folks there, and although she was staying at a hotel, she often found herself drawn to the pure nature of Applejacks farm. The simplicity was refreshing, and her and Applejack would spend vast amounts of time together. Apple and Rara would talk about each others lives, spend days hiking and enjoying nature, Rara would even help Applejack with light work on the farm, and what was once a simple friendship quickly blossomed into the two becoming very close. The experience’s helped Rara create many new songs, and in many of them her melodies would be accompanied by Applejack’s soothing guitar. Still they didn’t develop any romantic feelings for one another until tragedy struck, and Applejack was left traumatized and unable to function. Rara, who was bound to leave Ponyville soon was quickly compelled to stay, and her and the main six together helped Applejack cope. In the end it was Rara who ended up helping the most, teaching Applejack to funnel her pain into music, and teaching her to cope with the loss. After the tears fell Rara and Applejack discovered they had both developed feelings for one another that weren’t there before, and a romantic relationship quickly blossomed.

Together Rara and Applejack have one daughter named Sunrise McIntosh, who has great natural beauty, a lovely voice, but is a complete slob, and puts in virtually no effort in keeping herself, and her mane, cleaned and maintained. Along with her they also have two border collies named Tumble left, and Susie right. Both of their border collies are descendants of Winona, who sadly passed away a few years after Sunrise was born.
